1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, 2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of spirit, into obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ, grace to you all and may peace be multiplied.

1 Therefore, having put away all evil and all deceit and hypocrisies and envies and all slanders, 2 as newborn babies, long for the rational, pure milk, in order that in it you might grow into salvation,
