Romans 4

Therefore, what will we say Abraham to have found, our forefather according to the flesh?

For since Abraham was justified out from works, then he has a boast, but not toward God,

for what does the Scripture say? And Abraham believed as to God and it was reckoned to him into righteousness.

And to the one working, the reward is not reckoned according to grace, but according to debt.

But to the one not working, but believing upon the One justifying the ungodly one, his faith is reckoned into righteousness.

Just as also David speaks of the blessing of man to whom God reckons righteousness without works:

blessed are those whose lawless acts were released and whose sins were covered,

blessed is the man whose sin the Lord might absolutely not reckon.

Therefore, is this blessing upon the circumcision, or also upon the uncircumcision? For we say, “Faith was reckoned to Abraham into righteousness.”

How then was it reckoned? Being in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

And he received a sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith, of the one in uncircumcision, into the purpose for him to be a father of all the ones believing through uncircumcision, into the purpose for righteousness to be reckoned to them [[also]],

and a father of circumcision to the ones not out from circumcision only, but also to the ones walking to the steps of the faith of our father Abraham in uncircumcision.

For the promise to Abraham or to his seed for him to be the heir of the world was not through law, but through a righteousness of faith.

For if the ones out from law are heirs, then the faith has been voided and the promise has been idled-down.

For the law works-down wrath, but where there is not law, not even is there transgression.

On account of this it is out from faith, in order that it might be according to grace, into the purpose for the promise to be secure to all the seed, not only to the one out from the law, but also to the one out from faith of Abraham, who is father of us all.

Just as it has been written that, “a father of many nations I have placed you,” before Whom he believed God, the One making alive the dead ones, and calling the things not being, as being.

Who alongside hope upon hope believed, into the purpose for him to come to be a father of many nations according to the thing spoken, so will be your seed.

And not having been weak as to the faith, he considered his body [[already]] dead, being about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

And he did not doubt with unbelief into the promise of God, but he was strengthened as to the faith, having given glory to God.

And having been fully assured that what He has promised, He is also able to do;

[[and]] therefore it was reckoned to him into righteousness.

But it was not written on account of him only that it was reckoned to him,

but also on account of us, to whom it is about to be reckoned, to the ones believing upon the One having raised Jesus our Lord out from dead ones.

Who was delivered on account of our trespasses and was raised on account of our justification.
