So let a man reckon us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.
Here, henceforth, it is sought in the stewards, in order that a certain one might be found faithful.
But to me it is into the least concern, in order that I might be examined by you, or by a human day, but I do not even examine myself.
For I am conscious of not even one thing to myself, but in this I have not been justified; but the One examining me is the Lord.
So that, do not judge something before the time, but wait until the Lord might come, Who also will enlighten the hidden things of the darkness and will manifest the purposes of the hearts, and then the praise will come to be to each from God.
And these things, brethren, I transferred into myself and Apollos on account of you, in order that in us you might learn not the thing above which things have been written, in order that you might not be puffed up on behalf of the one against the other.
For who doubts you? And what do you have which you did not receive? And since also you received, then why boast as not having received?
You are already filled, you are already enriched; you reigned without us; and would that indeed you did reign, in order that, we might also reign together with you,
for I suppose God showed us, the apostles, last as condemned to death, because we became a spectacle to the world, and to angels, and to men.
We are foolish on account of Christ, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong; you are glorious, but we are without honor.
Until the present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and are unsettled;
and we labor, working with our own hands; being reviled, we bless; being pursued, we endure;
being defamed, we encourage; we came to be as refuse of the world, off-scouring of all things until now.
I do not write these things shaming you, but admonishing you as my beloved children.
For if you might have countless tutors in Christ, then yet you have not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I begot you through the gospel.
Therefore I exhort you, come to be imitators of me.
On account of this I sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved child and faithful in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways, the ones in Christ, just as I teach everywhere in every assembly.
And as my not coming toward you, certain ones were puffed up.
But I will come quickly toward you, if the Lord might desire, and I will not know the word of the ones puffed up, but the power.
For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
What do you desire? I might come toward you in a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?
