Romans 4

1 Therefore, what will we say Abraham our particular father to have found according to flesh?

2 For since Abraham was justified out from works, then he is having boast, but not toward God,

3 for what is the Scripture saying? And Abraham trusted as to the God and it was reckoned to him into a state-of-justification.

4 And to the one who is working, the reward not is reckoned according to grace, but according to debt.

5 But to the one who is not working, but while trusting upon the one Who is justifying the impious one, his particular trust is reckoned into a state-of-justification.

6 Just as also David is saying: The supreme happiness of the man to whom the God is reckoning a state-of-justification without works,

7 supremely happy are those whose particular state-of-lawlessness were released and whose particular sins were covered,

8 supremely happy a man whose sin Lord absolutely might not reckon.

9 Therefore, this particular supreme happiness, upon the circumcision or also upon the uncircumcision? For we are saying the trust was reckoned to the Abraham into a state-of-justification.

10 How therefore was it reckoned? While being in circumcision or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision

11 And he received a sign of circumcision, a seal of the state-of-justification of the trust of the one in the uncircumcision, into the result for him to be a father of all the ones who are trusting through uncircumcision into the result for them [also] to be reckoned [the] state-of-justification,

12 and a father of circumcision to the ones not out from circumcision only, but also to the ones who are walking to the steps of the trust in uncircumcision of our particular father Abraham.

13 For not through law the full-message to the Abraham or to his particular seed, for him to be the heir of world, but through a state-of-justification of trust;

14 for if the ones out from law are heirs, then the trust has been voided and the full-message has been idled-down.

15 For the law is working-down wrath, but where there is not law, not even a transgression.

16 On account of this it is out from trust, in order that according to grace, into the result to be steadfast the full-message to all the seed, not to the one out from the law only, but also to the one out from trust of Abraham, who is father of us all.

17 Just as it has been and remains written that, a father of many nations I have placed you down-before, of Whom he trusted God, of the One Who is making alive the dead ones and Who is calling the things which are not as things which are.

18 Who alongside expectation upon expectation he trusted, into the result for him to come to be a father of many nations according to the thing which, having been and remains spoken, so will be your particular seed.

19 And not one who was weak as to the trust, he minded-down his particular body [already] as having been and remains dead, while being about a hundred years old and the deadness of Sarah’s particular womb.

20 And into the full-message of the God he did not thoroughly-judged with the untrust, but he was empowered with the trust after he gave opinion to the God.

21 And after being fully assured that which He has fully-messaged, He is also able to do;

22 [[and]] wherefore it was reckoned to him into a state-of-justification.

23 And it was not written on account of him only that it was reckoned to him,

24 but also on account of us whom it is about to be reckoned, to the ones who are trusting upon the One Who raised Jesus our particular Lord out from dead ones.

25 Who was given-alongside on account of our particular trespasses and was raised on account of our particular justification.

2 εἰ (since) γὰρ (for) Ἀβραὰμ (Abraham) ἐξ (out from) ἔργων (works) ἐδικαιώθη, (was justified) ἔχει (then he is having) καύχημα, (boast) ἀλλ᾽ (but) οὐ (not) πρὸς (toward) θεόν. (God)

3 τί (what) γὰρ (for) ἡ (the) γραφὴ (Scripture) λέγει; (is saying) ἐπίστευσεν (trusted) δὲ (and) Ἀβραὰμ (Abraham) τῷ (as to the) θεῷ (God) καὶ (and) ἐλογίσθη (it was reckoned) αὐτῷ (to him) εἰς (into) δικαιοσύνην. (a state-of-justification)

4 τῷ (to the one) δὲ (and) ἐργαζομένῳ (who is working) ὁ (the) μισθὸς (reward) οὐ (not) λογίζεται (is reckoned) κατὰ (according to) χάριν (grace) ἀλλὰ (but) κατὰ (according to) ὀφείλημα, (debt)

5 τῷ (to the one) δὲ (but) μὴ (not) ἐργαζομένῳ (who is working) πιστεύοντι (while trusting) δὲ (but) ἐπὶ (upon) τὸν (the one) δικαιοῦντα (Who is justifying) τὸν (the one) ἀσεβῆ (impious) λογίζεται (is reckoned) ἡ (particular) πίστις (trust) αὐτοῦ (his) εἰς (into) δικαιοσύνην· (a state-of-justification)

6 καθάπερ (just as) καὶ (also) Δαυὶδ (David) λέγει (is saying) τὸν (the) μακαρισμὸν (supreme happiness) τοῦ (of the) ἀνθρώπου (man) ᾧ (to whom) ὁ (the) θεὸς (God) λογίζεται (is reckoning) δικαιοσύνην (a state-of-justification) χωρὶς (without) ἔργων· (works)

7 μακάριοι (supremely happy) ὧν (are those whose) ἀφέθησαν (were released) αἱ (particular) ἀνομίαι (state-of-lawlessness) καὶ (and) ὧν (whose) ἐπεκαλύφθησαν (were covered) αἱ (particular) ἁμαρτίαι· (sins)

8 μακάριος (supremely happy) ἀνὴρ (a man) οὗ (whose) οὐ μὴ (absolutely not) λογίσηται (might reckon) κύριος (Lord) ἁμαρτίαν. (sin)

9 Ὁ (particular) μακαρισμὸς (supreme happiness) οὖν (therefore) οὗτος (this) ἐπὶ (upon) τὴν (the) περιτομὴν (circumcision) ἢ (or) καὶ (also) ἐπὶ (upon) τὴν (the) ἀκροβυστίαν; (uncircumcision?) λέγομεν (we are saying) γάρ· (for) ἐλογίσθη (was reckoned) τῷ (to the) Ἀβραὰμ (Abraham) ἡ (the) πίστις (trust) εἰς (into) δικαιοσύνην. 10 πῶς (how) οὖν (therefore) ἐλογίσθη; (was it reckoned?) ἐν (in) περιτομῇ (circumcision) ὄντι (while being) ἢ (or) ἐν (in) ἀκροβυστίᾳ; (uncircumcision) οὐκ (not) ἐν (in) περιτομῇ (circumcision) ἀλλ᾽ (but) ἐν (in) ἀκροβυστίᾳ· (uncircumcision)

11 καὶ (and) σημεῖον (a sign) ἔλαβεν (he received) περιτομῆς (of circumcision) σφραγῖδα (a seal) τῆς (of the) δικαιοσύνης (state-of-justification) τῆς (of the) πίστεως (trust) τῆς (of the one) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) ἀκροβυστίᾳ, (uncircumcision) εἰς (into) τὸ (the) εἶναι (result to be) αὐτὸν (for him) πατέρα (a father) πάντων (of all) τῶν (the ones) πιστευόντων (who are trusting) δι᾽ (through) ἀκροβυστίας, (uncircumcision) εἰς (into) τὸ (the result) λογισθῆναι (to be reckoned) [καὶ] ([also]) αὐτοῖς (for them) [τὴν] ([the]) δικαιοσύνην, (state-of-justification)

12 καὶ (and) πατέρα (a father) περιτομῆς (of circumcision) τοῖς (to the ones) οὐκ (not) ἐκ (out from) περιτομῆς (circumcision) μόνον (only) ἀλλὰ (but) καὶ (also) τοῖς (to the ones) στοιχοῦσιν (who are walking) τοῖς (to the) ἴχνεσιν (steps) τῆς (of the) ἐν (in) ἀκροβυστίᾳ (uncircumcision) πίστεως (trust) τοῦ (particular) πατρὸς (father) ἡμῶν (of our) Ἀβραάμ. 13 Οὐ (not) γὰρ (for) διὰ (through) νόμου (law) ἡ (the) ἐπαγγελία (full-message) τῷ (to the) Ἀβραὰμ (Abraham) ἢ (or) τῷ (to particular) σπέρματι (seed) αὐτοῦ, (his) τὸ (the) κληρονόμον (heir) αὐτὸν (for him) εἶναι (to be) κόσμου, (of world) ἀλλὰ (but) διὰ (through) δικαιοσύνης (a state-of-justification) πίστεως. 14 εἰ (if) γὰρ (for) οἱ (the ones) ἐκ (out from) νόμου (law) κληρονόμοι, (are heirs) κεκένωται (has been voided) ἡ (the) πίστις (then trust) καὶ (and) κατήργηται (has been idled-down) ἡ (the) ἐπαγγελία· (full-message)

15 ὁ (the) γὰρ (for) νόμος (law) ὀργὴν (wrath) κατεργάζεται· (is working-down) οὗ (where) δὲ (but) οὐκ (not) ἔστιν (there is) νόμος (law) οὐδὲ (not even) παράβασις. (a transgression)

16 Διὰ (on account of) τοῦτο (this) ἐκ (out from) πίστεως, (it is trust) ἵνα (in order that) κατὰ (according to) χάριν, (grace) εἰς (into) τὸ (the result) εἶναι (to be) βεβαίαν (steadfast) τὴν (the) ἐπαγγελίαν (full-message) παντὶ (all) τῷ (to the) σπέρματι, (seed) οὐ (not) τῷ (to the one) ἐκ (out from) τοῦ (the) νόμου (law) μόνον (only) ἀλλὰ (but) καὶ (also) τῷ (to the one) ἐκ (out from) πίστεως (trust) Ἀβραάμ, (of Abraham) ὅς (who) ἐστιν (is) πατὴρ (father) πάντων (all) ἡμῶν, (of us)

17 καθὼς (just as) γέγραπται (it has been and remains written) ὅτι (that) πατέρα (a father) πολλῶν (of many) ἐθνῶν (nations) τέθεικά (I have placed) σε, (you) κατέναντι (down-before) οὗ (of Whom) ἐπίστευσεν (he trusted) θεοῦ (God) τοῦ (of the One) ζῳοποιοῦντος (Who is making alive) τοὺς (the) νεκροὺς (dead ones) καὶ (and) καλοῦντος (Who is calling) τὰ (the things) μὴ (not) ὄντα (which are) ὡς (as things) ὄντα. 18 Ὃς (Who) παρ᾽ (alongside) ἐλπίδα (expectation) ἐπ᾽ (upon) ἐλπίδι (expectation) ἐπίστευσεν (he trusted) εἰς (into) τὸ (the result) γενέσθαι (to come to be) αὐτὸν (for him) πατέρα (a father) πολλῶν (of many) ἐθνῶν (nations) κατὰ (according to) τὸ (the thing) εἰρημένον· (which having been and remains spoken) οὕτως (so) ἔσται (will be) τὸ (particular) σπέρμα (seed) σου, (your)

19 καὶ (and) μὴ (not) ἀσθενήσας (one who was weak) τῇ (as to the) πίστει (trust) κατενόησεν (he minded-down) τὸ (particular) ἑαυτοῦ (his) σῶμα (body) [ἤδη] ([already]) νενεκρωμένον, (as having been and remains dead) ἑκατονταετής (a hundred years old) που (about) ὑπάρχων, (while being) καὶ (and) τὴν (the) νέκρωσιν (deadness) τῆς (particular) μήτρας (womb) Σάρρας· (of Sarah’s)

20 εἰς (into) δὲ (and) τὴν (the) ἐπαγγελίαν (full-message) τοῦ (of the) θεοῦ (God) οὐ (did not) διεκρίθη (he thoroughly-judged) τῇ (with the) ἀπιστίᾳ (untrust) ἀλλ᾽ (but) ἐνεδυναμώθη (he was empowered) τῇ (with the) πίστει, (trust) δοὺς (after he gave) δόξαν (opinion) τῷ (to the) θεῷ (God)

21 καὶ (and) πληροφορηθεὶς (after being fully assured) ὅτι (that) ὃ (which) ἐπήγγελται (He has fully-messaged) δυνατός (able) ἐστιν (He is) καὶ (also) ποιῆσαι. (to do)

22 διὸ (wherefore) [καὶ] ([[and]]) ἐλογίσθη (it was reckoned) αὐτῷ (to him) εἰς (into) δικαιοσύνην. (a state-of-justification)

23 Οὐκ (not) ἐγράφη (it was written) δὲ (and) δι᾽ (on account of) αὐτὸν (him) μόνον (only) ὅτι (that) ἐλογίσθη (it was reckoned) αὐτῷ (to him)
