Brethren, indeed, the satisfaction of my heart and my prayer toward God on behalf of them is, into salvation.
For I testify to them that they have a zeal of God, but not according to full knowledge.
For being ignorant of God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they were not submitted to the righteousness of God.
For Christ is the end of the law into righteousness to every one believing.
For Moses writes about the righteousness out from the law, that the man having done them will live in them.
But the righteousness out from faith speaks so: Do not say in your heart, Who will ascend into the heaven? That is, to bring Christ down.
Or, Who will descend into the abyss? That is, to bring Christ up out from dead ones.
But what does it say? The saying is near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the saying of faith which we preach.
That if you might confess in your mouth Lord Jesus and you might believe in your heart that God raised Him out from dead ones, then you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes into righteousness, and with the mouth confesses into salvation.
For the Scripture says: Every one believing upon Him will not be put to shame.
For there is not a distinction between the Jew and the Greek, for same One is Lord of all, being rich into all the ones calling upon Him.
For every one, whoever might call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.
How then might they call upon Him into Whom they did not believe? And how might they believe of Whom they did not hear? And how might they hear without preaching?
And how might they preach except they be sent? Just as it has been written, “How beautiful are the feet of the ones preaching good things.”
But not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says: O Lord, who believed our report?
Then faith is out from hearing, and hearing through a saying of Christ.
But I say, did they absolutely not hear? On the contrary, their voice went out into all the earth, and their saying into the ends of the inhabited world.
But I say, did Israel absolutely not know? First Moses says: I will provoke you to jealousy upon that which is not a nation, upon an unintelligent nation I will provoke to anger you.
And Isaiah is bold and says: I was found by the ones not seeking Me, I came to be manifested to the ones not inquiring of Me.
But toward Israel He says: The whole day I spread out My hands toward a disobeying and arguing people.
