John 3

And there was a man out from the Pharisees, Nicodemus was a name for him, a ruler of the Jews.

This one came toward Him of night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God a teacher, for not even one is able these to do signs which You do, unless God might be with him.”

Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly I say to you, unless a certain one might be begotten from above, he is not able to see the kingdom of God.”

Nicodemus says toward Him, “How is a man able to be begotten, being an old man? He is not able to enter into the womb of his mother a second time and to be begotten, is he?”

Jesus answered, “Truly, truly I say to you, unless a certain one might be begotten out from water and Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God.

The thing begotten out from the flesh is flesh, and the thing begotten out from the Spirit is spirit.

Do not marvel that I said to you, it is necessary for you all to be begotten from above.

The wind blows where it desires, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know from where it comes and where it goes; so is every one begotten out from the Spirit.”

Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How is it possible for these things to come to be?”

Jesus answered and said to him, “You are a teacher of Israel and you do not know these things?

Truly, truly I say to you, that what we know, we speak, and what we have seen, we testify, and you all do not receive our testimony.

Since I told to you all earthly things and you do not believe, then how will you believe if I might say to you heavenly things?

And not even one has ascended into heaven, except the One having descended out from heaven, the Son of man.

And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so it is necessary for the Son of man to be lifted up,

in order that every one believing, in Him might have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, so that He gave the only begotten Son, in order that every one believing into Him, might not perish, but might have everlasting life.

For God did not send the Son into the world in order that He might judge the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.

The one believing into Him is not judged, but the one not believing has already been judged, because he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil.

For every one practicing worthless things hates the light, and does not come toward the light, in order that his works might not be exposed.

But the one doing truth comes toward the light, in order that his works might be manifested, that in God they are worked.”

After these things Jesus and His disciples came into the land of Judea, and there He was spending time with them and was baptizing.

And John was also baptizing in Aenon, near Salim, because much water was there, and they were coming and were being baptized,

for John was not yet cast into the prison.

Then there came to be an investigation out from the disciples of John with a Jew concerning purification.

And they came toward John and said to him, “Rabbi, the One Who was with you beyond the Jordan, to Whom you have testified, behold this One baptizes and all come toward Him.”

John answered and said, “A man is not able to receive not even one thing, except it might be given to him out from heaven.

You yourselves testify to me that I said that I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before that One.

The One having the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, the one standing and hearing Him, rejoices with joy on account of the voice of the bridegroom. This, then, my joy has been fulfilled.

That One must increase, but I to decrease.

The One coming from above is above all. The one being out from the earth is out from the earth, and speaks out from the earth. The One coming out from heaven is above all.

What He has seen and heard, this He testifies, and not even one receives His testimony.

The one having received His testimony sealed that God is true.

For Whom God sent speaks the sayings of God, for He does not give the Spirit out from a measure.

The Father loves the Son, and has given all things in His hand.

The one believing into the Son has everlasting life. And the one being disobedient to the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.”
