1 Moreover, I am saying, over as long a time as the heir is an infant, not even one thing is carrying-through from a bondservant while being lord of all things,
2 but he is under guardians and stewards until the time put-in-place-before of the father.
3 Even so we, when we were infants under the elements of the world; we were ones who having been and remained enslaved;
4 but when the fullness of the time came, the God sent-out-away-from His particular Son, when He came to be out from a woman, when He came to be under law,
5 in order that the ones under law, He might redeem, in order that we might receive-back the son-place.
6 And because you all are sons, the God sent-out-away-from the Spirit of His particular Son into our particular hearts, with the result of crying Abba the Father.
7 So that you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; moreover since a son, then also an heir through God.
8 But then, on the one hand, ones who are knowing not God, you all slaves to the things by nature are not gods;
9 but now on the other hand, ones who have come to know God, but rather, ones having come to be known by God, how are you all completely-returning again upon the weak, that is, poor elements to which you all are desiring to be slaving all over again?
10 You all are observing-alongside for yourselves days and months and seasons and years,
11 I am fearing you all, lest somehow in vain I have labored into you all.
12 Brethren, I am begging you all, come to be as I myself, because I came to be as you all, you all did me not even one wrong;
13 and you all know that through weakness of the flesh I well-announced to you all the one former,
14 and the trial of you all in my particular flesh you all did not despise, not even loathe, but you all received me for yourselves as a messenger of God, as Christ Jesus.
15 Therefore, where is the blessing of you all? For I am testifying to you all that if possible, after you all dug-out your particular eyes, then you all would have given them to me.
16 So that, have I come to be your enemy by telling truth to you all?
17 They are jealous over you all, not for good, but desiring to shut you all out, in order that you all might be jealous;
18 but to be jealous in an excellent way is always an excellent thing, and not only in the result of me to be present toward you all.
19 Children of me whom I am suffering birth pain again until which Christ might be formed in you all;
20 and I was desiring to be present toward you all just now, and to change the voice of me, because I am perplexed for myself in you all.
21 You all tell me, the ones who are desiring to be under law, are you all not hearing the law?
22 For it has been and remains written that Abraham had two sons, one out from the bondwoman and one out from the freewoman.
23 But on the one hand, the one out from the bondwoman has been and remains generated according to flesh, but on the other hand, the one out from the freewoman through a promise.
24 Which things are being allegorized; for these are two covenants, on the one hand, one away from Mount Sinai, while being generated into slavery, which is Hagar.
25 Moreover, Hagar is the Mount Sinai in the Arabia and she is corresponding to the Jerusalem now, for she is slaving with her particular children.
26 But on the other hand, the Jerusalem above is free, which is mother of us all;
27 for it has been and remains written: Be well-minded barren one, the one who is not giving birth, burst apart and cry aloud, the one who is not suffering birth pain; because many more the children of the wilderness than of the one who is having the husband.
28 And you all brethren according to Isaac are children of promise.
29 But just as then, the one who was generated according to flesh pursuing the one according to spirit, so even now.
30 But what is the Scripture saying? Cast out the bondwoman and the son of her; for the son of the bondwoman will absolutely not inherit with the son of the freewoman.
31 Wherefore, brethren, we are not children of a bondwoman, but of the freewoman.

17 ζηλοῦσιν (They are jealous over) ὑμᾶς (you all) οὐ (not) καλῶς, (for good) ἀλλ᾽ (but) ἐκκλεῖσαι (to shut-out) ὑμᾶς (you all) θέλουσιν, (desiring) ἵνα (in order that) αὐτοὺς (you all) ζηλοῦτε· (might be jealous;)
18 καλὸν (an excellent thing) δὲ (but) ζηλοῦσθαι (to be jealous) ἐν (in) καλῷ (an excellent way) πάντοτε (is always) καὶ (and) μὴ (not) μόνον (only) ἐν (in) τῷ (the result) παρεῖναί (to be present) με (of me) πρὸς (toward) ὑμᾶς. (you all.)

20 ἤθελον (I was desiring) δὲ (and) παρεῖναι (to be present) πρὸς (toward) ὑμᾶς (you all) ἄρτι (just now) καὶ (and) ἀλλάξαι (to change) τὴν (the) φωνήν (voice) μου, (of me) ὅτι (because) ἀποροῦμαι (I am perplexed for myself) ἐν (in) ὑμῖν. (you all.)

22 γέγραπται (it has been and remains written) γὰρ (for) ὅτι (that) Ἀβραὰμ (Abraham) δύο (two) υἱοὺς (sons) ἔσχεν, (had) ἕνα (one) ἐκ (out from) τῆς (the) παιδίσκης (bondwoman) καὶ (and) ἕνα (one) ἐκ (out from) τῆς (the) ἐλευθέρας. (freewoman.)
