Simon Peter a bondservant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the ones, having obtained a faith that is equal with us, in righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
May grace and peace be multiplied to you all in the full knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
As His divine power has given to us all things toward life and godliness, through the full knowledge of the One having called us to His own glory and excellence,
through which things precious and greatest promises He has given to us, in order that through these you might come to be partners of divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world in lust.
And for this very reason also, having applied all diligence, in your faith supply excellence, and in excellence, knowledge,
and in knowledge, self-control, and in self-control, patience, and in patience, godliness,
and in godliness, brotherly love, and in brotherly love, love.
For these things being with you and abounding, do not make you idle nor unfruitful into the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
For he with whom these things are not present, he is blind, being shortsighted, having received forgetfulness of the purification of his former sins.
Therefore rather, brethren, be diligent to make your calling and choice secure for yourselves, for doing these things you might absolutely not ever stumble.
For so the entrance into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be abundantly supplied to you.
Therefore, I will always be about to remind you concerning these things, although they are known and established in the truth being present.
And I consider it right, over as long as I am in this dwelling, to stir you up in a reminder,
knowing that the putting away of my tabernacle is imminent, just as also our Lord Jesus Christ clarified to me.
And I will be diligent also on each occasion, to have you make remembrance of these things after my departure.
For we made known to you the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, not having followed clever myths, but having become observers of the majesty of that One.
For having received from God the Father honor and glory, such a voice having been borne to Him by the magnificent glory: This is My Son, My Beloved, into Whom I Myself was pleased.
And this voice we heard having been borne out from heaven, being with Him in the holy mountain.
And we have the prophetic word more secure, to which you do well holding, as to a lamp shining in gloomy place, until such a day might dawn, and a morning star might rise in your hearts.
Knowing this first, that all prophecy of Scripture does not come to be of its own interpretation.
For prophecy was not ever brought by will of man, but being borne by the Holy Spirit, men spoke from God.
