Likewise, wives being submissive to their own husbands, in order that also, since certain ones are disobedient to the word, then through the conduct of the wives, they will be gained without a word,
having observed your pure conduct in fear.
Of whom let it not be the adornment outward, braiding of hair, and putting around of gold things, or putting on of garments,
but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible thing of the gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious before God.
For thus once the holy wives also, the ones expecting into God, were adorning themselves, being submissive to their own husbands;
as Sarah obeyed to Abraham, calling him lord, whose children you all came to be, doing good and not fearing even one terror.
Likewise the husbands, dwelling together with them according to knowledge, as with a weaker vessel, assigning honor to the female, as also fellow-heirs of the grace of life, into the result that your prayers to not be hindered.
And the conclusion, all be like-minded, sympathetic, with brotherly love, compassionate, humble,
not repaying evil for evil, or insult for insult, but on the contrary, blessing, because into this you all were called, in order that you all might inherit a blessing.
For the one desiring to love life and to see good days, let him stop his tongue away from evil, and his lips of the result to not speak deceit.
And let him turn away from evil, and do good, let him seek peace and pursue it.
Because the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears into their prayer, but the face of the Lord is upon the ones doing evil.
And then who will be the one mistreating you all, if you all might come to be zealous of the good?
But even if you all should suffer on account of righteousness, then you all are blessed. And do not fear their fear, neither be troubled,
but sanctify the Lord Christ in your hearts, always ready toward a defense to all the ones asking you all a word concerning the hope in you all,
but with gentleness and fear, having good conscience, in order that in which you all are slandered, the ones despising your good conduct in Christ might be put to shame.
For it is better to suffer doing good, if the will the God should desire, than doing evil,
because Christ also suffered once concerning sins, the righteous on behalf of the unrighteous, in order that He might bring you all to God, on the one hand, having been put to death as to flesh, but on the other hand, having been made alive as to spirit;
in which also, having gone to the spirits in prison, He preached
to those having disobeyed, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, an ark being prepared, into which few, that is, eight souls were saved through water,
which also the antitype, baptism, now saves you all, not putting away filth of the flesh, but a question of a good conscience into God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
Who is in the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers having been subjected to Him.
